Prospective Students

Each year approximately 40% of London Business School students graduate into careers in finance. This includes everything from sales/trading, to investment banking, to funds management, to financial management careers in industry.

Accordingly, the Finance Club serves as a medium to connect students to these careers. We assist with all stages of a students' progression towards that career, and have significant ties with all major financial recruiters as well as smaller boutique firms.

Activities we engage in fall into three main categories:

• Industry Education

This includes all aspects of educating students around particular products, markets, sectors, and even companies. Specifically:

• Speaker Series events, where a recruiting firm presents an educational topic on campus
• Signficant educational material on our website, supplied by financial companies on a regular basis
• Research on specific companies, including feedback from 2nd year students on their summer employers
• Career path and role comparison

• Technical Training

We provide technical training to members, including valuation workshops, Excel training, Bloomberg, VBA, and Access.

Additionally, the training section of our website includes a significant amount of documents relating to technical skill development, thanks to our training sponsor: Citigroup.

• Recruitment

This includes:

• Interview preparation, including mock-interviews
• Resume reviews by 2nd year students
• “Office hours”, lunch-time sessions hosted by 2nd year students to assist with anything related to finance recruiting
• Networking events with recruiters
• Company presentations
